Who is eligible for Lantern?

All active members and covered dependents located in Texas, Florida, and Georgia. To confirm your eligibility, please contact Lantern or your Curative Care Navigator. Lantern is an additional benefit available to eligible Curative members and does not replace or change any benefits provided under your Curative health plan.

How do I know if a surgery is covered through Lantern?

What’s not covered through Lantern?

Accepted Answer

Emergency surgeries, cosmetic procedures and some medical equipment aren’t included. Certain tests, imaging or therapy may not be fully covered — but your Lantern Care Advocate will explain all your options.

Is my family covered through Lantern?

Yes. If your spouse or dependents are on your health plan, they’re covered too.

How do I find the right surgeon through Lantern?

Lantern will help you find board-certified surgeons who meet our safety and quality standards.

If I already have a surgeon, can I still use Lantern?

If your surgeon is in the Lantern network, you can still use them for surgery — but you must call Lantern before your procedure to ensure savings and incentives. If your surgeon isn’t in network with Lantern, they’ll show you comparable options close to home.

Do I use my Curative ID card for surgery through Lantern?

No. For planned procedures through Lantern, members should use their green Lantern ID card rather than their Curative ID card. This ensures your surgery is covered correctly and prevents any surprise bills.

How do I access my digital Lantern ID card?

Accepted Answer

You can access your digital Lantern ID card by logging in at https://my.lanterncare.com/ on desktop or on their mobile app. You may also reach out to Lantern’s Care Advocates at 855-210-5283 to email it directly to your inbox.

How does the financial reward work when using Lantern?

Accepted Answer

For completing a planned procedure covered through Lantern, you’ll receive a cash reward based on the type of procedure. Curative will send your reward as a mailed check, typically within 12 weeks of your procedure.
