Curative offers the ability to receive claims payments and remittance advices electronically. Both options offer benefits over paper transactions.

Transferencia electrónica de fondos (TEF)
La transferencia electrónica de fondos (TEF) es el intercambio electrónico de pagos de reclamos. Es seguro y más rápido que los pagos con cheques en papel. La TEF permite que los pagos se depositen electrónicamente de forma directa en una cuenta bancaria una vez que se libera el pago de un reclamo. No es necesario depositar cheques manualmente. Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA)
Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) enables you to receive claims payment information electronically. ERA files are transmitted in the HIPAA mandated ASC X12 835 5010 A1 format. ERA allows providers to post claims remittances electronically to your billing software vendor or clearinghouse to automate manual processes. Curative partners with Availity, TriZetto, and Optum Intelligent Electronic Data Interchange (iEDI) clearinghouses to obtain ERAs.

Providers are now able to obtain ERA's through Availity. Instructions for signing up for EDI claims and ERA's through Availity can be found on page 12 of this guide.

Claims status inquiries
Providers can verify the status of their submitted claim telephonically by contacting Curative Provider Services at 855-414-1083.
Overpayments
We will inform you in writing of an overpaid claim within 180 days of the date of payment and you will have 45 calendar days (unless otherwise indicated on your Agreement) from receipt of notice to refund the money back to us. If your payment is not received by that time, we may offset the overpayment against future claim payments, or in accordance with the terms of your agreement.
